notes from the road

Drove to Laughlin and got a super cheap room, laughlins cool if your old, poor and like shitty buffet food, lucky for us we fit that criteria to a T. Its a crazy burnt out casino town with not much happening in the winter.

so off to Durango, CO. where our friend Dave Q. is living. awesome litte mountain town, people there were excellent and very receptive...played at Storyville, really cool place and good food. they know how to party. drank the night away in an old bar where Jack Dempsey fought his first fight. and by the look of the locals at 3 am they try to relive that night when David Q. is around.

then a long drive to Denver where we played to all of 5 people, one of whom, Ross, who played , is probably one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. we stayed at his place with him and his blind dog, lulu.

another long ass drive to Albequerque, where i got a speeding ticket for going 87 in a 75 zone and it pissed me off like you woulndt believe. the show was odd, wierd little college town, sorta frat like.peeps were there to get loaded and hookup, but very nice and friendly. saw some homie pukin in the middle of the bar. Cameron McGill was great and quite a nice guy.

so now were in Flagstaff, we'll see how it goes, were playing at the Monte Vista Lounge, which is supposed to be haunted....looking forward to some time to look around and relax....most of our time has been spent in the van and searching out useable toilets. its ashame when morning hurts....talk to ya soon.

talk to ya soon
